If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! Claiming to be from HMRC stating tax fraud has been registered to my name. Then requests you to press 1 to be connected. This is a works phone so not even registered to a person, rather a company.
Had a missed call from this number, 01224573601, and they left a message. Seemed to be requesting help with a failed transaction, asking for further help with his payment. Unsure if it was genuine or spam.
This is almost certainly a student from Oxford University calling as part of the annual campaign asking for donations towards their fees.
