had a bit of fun, asked for my sort code and said 123456, and my account number , and told them 87654321, and they thanked me!

Answered and guy started to talk (I think) with a lot of people chatting in the background. Then phone went dead. I have now programmed my new Panasonic phones to block this number in the future. What a good investment they were.

This number called me several times, but the call went silent. I called the number back (located in Shetlands) and I was put in to a queue which kept saying "Your call is important to us, please hold for the next available agent". After waiting for almost 4 minutes I hung up. This is probably another scam caller who has been banned from every other UK city so now they ve been forced to set up shop in the Shetlands. I ve now blocked the number.

Calls my mobile regularly but never anyone there or any messages left on my voicemail.

When answered u hear a ring tone as if u have called them, then some Indian sounding bloke asks to speak to u asking if u can answer a few household questions.. told him no and put phone down. Didnt sound like the call was in this country either

Have requested they remove my (work) mobile number on numerous occasions but still receive unwanted calls from them, bottom feeders!

Pretended they knew who I was and that they had a PPI payment for me if I would just confirm my details. Needless to say they hadn t and I didn t. They didn t even know my name.

wanted my son, who has not lived here for 10 years, tried to get his details from me, stating input error. If my son wanted them to contact him he certainly would not have given a number he hasn t used for 10 years. They said they had a mobile no and wanted to check if it was still in use but due to data protection, couldnt give me what they had, but could check off the number I have for him. I told them the same, if he wanted them, he would have left his own home no and if they genuinly had his mobile then

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so.
