However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. I received a call from this number today with a message that my master card had been used abroad for a £600 purchase. I was asked to press one to confirm payment. I terminated the call and phoned the number back to be told that the number did not exist. The person was female with a very clear voice and English accent.

SCAM - the 3rd such similar text in as many days from different numbers. All had a link to a website that no doubt requests your bank details. In this case the email purported to be from HSBC informing me of a payment made on my card today. It had a helpful link to a site called cancel.banking-process, which funnily enough i did not click.

No idea who these people are, they called me on my mobile and asked for a man I ve never heard of.. I cut them off immediately afterwards because I didn t want to be charged in case it was an expensive number.
