Did not answer message left suggesting unusual activity on your card. Does not name the card. Asks you to press buttons on your phone. Ignored and blocked. Obviously a scam.
Received 2 calls from this number which purports to be from Santander fraud dept. A recorded message asks that I cal back on a freephone number entering a 3 digit code. I am suspicious of calls of this type and will first check with Santander to verify whether it is a real message or not.

SCAM / SPAM - Used maiden name, commented on the colour of my hair, which features in my email address. The call was regarding my registration with the financial markets. So many alarm bells ringing here!! Take care, these are scammers without a doubt!

When I explained they were not in and asked if I could take a message, the caller sounded annoyed that the person he called for was not in, and then HE HUNG UP. . Cold caller? Telemarketer? Rude - yes!
Currently in the US and just had a call from this number. I didn t answer but found this page so I ll endorse peoples comments about being contacted whilst abroad. I ve recently added my mobile number with the Telephone Preference Service but it can take a month before that kicks in.

Definitely HSBC fraud department. It s a separate call centre to the central one as I was taken aback at the different "customer handling" of the fraud dept i.e. not as warm as the central team. It s a genuine number, just avoids the queues of the central number you d normally call.
