Well, after a couple of days of peace and quiet from this number.. they ve started again, with a VENGEANCE! I have reported them to EVERYONE they can be reported too, and now, im on plan B! FYI if you re on "talktalk" you can set up "last caller barring" which allows you to block up to 10 numbers from ringing you :) and its FREE!! im in the process of setting this up now, and hopefully it will stop all this nonsense! SCAM / SPAM - Fraud. HMRC do not call, they write to you, This one said I'd be arrested for tax fraud if I did not press 1. Out of curiosity I pressed 1 and was told the police were going to be sent to arrest me. I told them I was a Tory voter and exempt from taxes. They swore at me and hung up

This is the UK version of a scam running amok in the US. The supposed company, microsoftechs.com, contacts people and claims there is an issue with their computer. The claim to be partnered with Microsoft and gain confidence with all the classic scam talk. If you do get scammed, they will access your computer via remote access, go through your email, install software and who knows what else. They also will get you to buy their software for $100 USD (not sure how that works out in UK pounds). If this has

PPI company that cons you into signing up with them and then takes 30% of whatever they find for you, as payment. They also use a computer dialer that calls numbers and then hangs up on you if an operator is not available to talk at you
I was called by this number and feel concerned that it maybe a scammer: the message - delivered in synthetic speech claimed to be from HMRC and said tax fraud had been committed in my name and I needed to press 1 immediately or I would be arrested for fraud. I did not press 1. I hung up and searched the number but have not seen any negative reports yet.

Although this number is displayed our phone says it is international. nCaller says they are from BT but hung up as soon as we said they were international.
My call blocker (Truecall)marks the call as INTERNATIONAL with Belfast as the origin BUT I live only one hour from Belfast so it is NOT an international number. I suspect it originates in India but is disguised as a local number with the 028 prefix of all landline numbers in Northern Ireland.
I think it is a banking scam as the voicemail said that money was paid out of my cards when it was not I then hung up

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Text Messaged They said they were Hermes and that I’ve missed my delivery. I wasn’t expecting anything and there was no record of anyone trying to deliver anything recorded on my front door camera. When I went to ‘reschedule a delivery’ they wanted to charge me and asked for my credit card details. That’s when I became suspicious and Hermes doesn’t ever charge for a redelivery. BE CAREFUL!
