This number called my phone whilst I was out. Upon returning home and returning the call, they asked my name and insisted they hadn't called me. They wouldn't tell me who they were and hung up.

This phone number is SPAM
Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

This is a scam number for "Electric Yorkshire". avoid at all costs, they overcharge and try to add extra hidden charges. Calling to cancel, they will refuse to and try to scam you out of giving them more money. Luckily I was wise enough to not give them a penny. someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

TAXES / HMRC Automated call Fraud Scam I had this number ring me an auto message started about 9seconds in and saying its from HMRC then it cut out mid sentence. I rang back the number a good couple of times and keeps telling me phone is switched off. Not sure if its a scam/fraud
How did they get my details when this is not my phone it's paid for by somebody else 250 miles away. The mind boggles at how much scammery people think they can get away with. I've forwarding it onto the police. Let the scammer(s) live for the rest of their lives looking over their shoulder or from behind bars.
