This number appears to belong to a company called Close Brothers it was 01615186533 that called me They left a message asking me to call them and they called me by my name I have never heard of the company so i wont be calling them back

Purportedly from Homeguard Direct, one of a number of south coast based companies claiming to block nuisance calls. In this call I was informed that I was due to pay ?124.99 as a final payment for their services. Whilst I agree that I have had dealings with the company in the past, I have no recollection/documentation of a fee for their services . I did not pass over any information regarding bank or credit card details. I was threatened with debt collectors.

I m so glad i Googled the number while talking to this lovely lady, yes all fair and well it might a great deal and for a worthy cause but I m already giving to my own choice of charity so was not prepared to risk 79.99 being taken from my account should i miss the cut off point or they take it earlier than stated. Tried to redial but told it is an incorrect number. They have called on numerous occasions. This time however, I answer the call, and managed to get a complete voice recording. Who should I send it to? They are using FALSE numbers. They do not care that they are not allowed to phone my number. Total Scam - I have not had any car accidents. I am disabled and 70 years old. Guy calls regularly, including public holidays! Sometimes hangs up when you say Hello; other times informs you he s conducting market research. I ve been advised by a friend who had similar calls that telling him his number has been flagged as a telepest, calls are being monitored and that unsolicited calls are subject to hefty fines gets rid of him pretty darn quick. Am going to use this next time the ******* calls
