Called claiming to be from virgin media. Asked to press ctrl and r on your computer. This is the start of the process to allow remote access. I'm aware of someone who did this and then had an attempt to have internet banking set up. Someone else had their bank account emptied after doing what they asked. I told them I wasn't prepared to do anything as was aware of scams from people claiming to be calling from virgin media. They hung up straightaway then.
Comes up scam or fraud warning on my mobile. Don't know any more than that as I did not answer.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17529375xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with pensions, PPI, accident claims - holly three again. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Told them i didn t and could they take me off the list. Guy was then really sarcastic and loud down the phone at me. I m registered with tps but they get round it by using mobile numbers. Scumbags.
