I had a similar experience today, hung up immediately and reported the incident to TalkTalk who have blocked this number on their network. Probably a scam!

Asked for me by surname only and claimed that I had won a discount card on the Postcode Lottery, that would be amazing as I don't do the Postcode Lottery, it apparantly entitled me discount at all the major supermarkets, must be 10 years since I went in a supermarket, never use supermarkets, so I guess it was a scam!

Had a call from this number saying something about pensions but was a hoax. did not take me seriously at all and called me names then said goodbye.
Someone using this number called several times eventually getting through to me. He sounded as though he was abroad, couldn t say my last name and asked if I remembered having an accident two years ago as he could help me get compensation. I asked why he would be interested in getting compensation for me and told me he was the Motor Insurer Bureau and that was what they did. I told him I was a solicitor (which I am) and I knew what the MIB did and he didn t sound like he was calling from there. He then
