Scammers using pre-recorded audio impersonating UK Goverment agency

Claimed to be calling from O2, Indian call centre. Offering a 40% discount off my next bill, but could not tell me the name of the account holder. Hung up when I asked who he wanted to speak to. Said he'd send 2 text messages for me to activate the discount!!!!! Why if he was from O2, and I was with O2 he'd have my details and could active the discount automatically. Block this number.

This number phoned an elderly relative claiming to be Amazon
Supposedly Peter Stokes from Relief energy - calling all homeowners in my postcode area because we're paying the highest energy prices. This is a BOT, asks questions, pauses and then goes on to the next question regardless of whether you have answered and what you have said - I just said 'TPS' in case it's a genuine company and there was someone picking up the answers, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam as others think and I can't trace a company by this name, so I will now report it to Action Fraud Phishing.

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. I had a call to say my gas meter engineer was in an accident and had to rearrange for next week. Strangely I had a call from the engineer 15 minutes later to say he was on his way and knew nothing of an accident. I can't help but feel suspicious .

Indian call centre person (could hear others in the background trying to scam others), claiming to be from the Utilities Department. Told him I knew he was a scammer as there is no such thing as the Utilities Department. He hung up and I blocked the number. They also use 0161 669 0643 and 0640. Seems they have purchased quite a few numbers to scam people.

Amazon SCAM call phishing for your details. Automated call, apparently from “Amazon” saying I had placed an order to be delivered to a different address to mine for £749.00. The activity was suspicious so blocked my account. Logged into my Amazon account using the official app and there is no such activity.
