I think this is a boiler room operation, touting for investment. Even after you tell them where to get off, they still call back many times. A boiler room operation is one which hypes "investments" which probably don t exist and you lose your money. Worryingly they knew my name.

Text received from this number stating suspicious activity on my Paypal account and that they had suspended my account to prevent any fraudulent activity and to follow a link to lift the block. Clearly an attempt to get access to the Paypal account as i dont use it.
Was the usual boilers on benefits call. I engaged for a short time, he asked about anyone being on benefits/pension credits etc. and what type of heating I have. Woman with a foreign accent called purporting to be from British Telecom and referring to my Internet connection. I did not let her proceed any further and indicated that I did not have the Internet. She apologised and turn up. I tested the number and it it does not exist, according to the message. Another scam I suspect.
