had a call from this company claiming my creditors have filled charges against me and requested them to recover the money owed. When requested for the names of the companies the caller became abusive and hung up.

SCAM pretends to have unauthorised payments from your bank account and to "press one to stop payments" - very dangerous. NO BANK would ring up anyone without saying WHO THEY ARE FOR A START! Sick of these scam calls! At least 5 a day from "HMRC" or "Bank" or "Royal Mail". DO NOT give your details. Say you will look at your acc online - without phone "help". I checked my bank online, no probs at all.

Same story. About a road accident I had but caller was from Liverpool and they used an 01462 area code. Trying to get me to claim for unnecessary whip lash etc, I suspect. Blocked.
A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. Supposed job offer, but refused to provide details citing "confidentiality". Knew some public information about me (probably from LinkedIn) and immediately wanted confirmation of my work history and a copy of my CV. Very suspicious.
Male voice asked for me by name and when I said "speaking" they hung up.
I assumed this was a scam to be honest as they were asking for personal information about a hospital appointment that I know nothing about.

The call is from Greenpeace, looking for volunteers and/or activists. They won t leave a message due to time constraints but a simple 1471 check will confirm.

got the following text from this number: There is ?2167.67 waiting to be claimed in your name for the mis-selling of PPI on your loans and credit cards. To get this ASAP reply Info to this messsage NOW I read that they were sending these texts with exactly the same amount ot money to several people, so this can t be serious.
Text Messaged They said they were Hermes and that I’ve missed my delivery. I wasn’t expecting anything and there was no record of anyone trying to deliver anything recorded on my front door camera. When I went to ‘reschedule a delivery’ they wanted to charge me and asked for my credit card details. That’s when I became suspicious and Hermes doesn’t ever charge for a redelivery. BE CAREFUL!
