I was curious of this number previously but have now related it to my house alarm which is set up to text me when there is a fault/activation of my house alarm. Every month an automated check is done on the phone line (hence the 61p charge on my bill) to check the system is still working ok and able to then text when required. A small price to pay I guess for piece of mind when having an alarm system, but unfortunately something my alarm fitter forgot to mention when installing it!

Had a call today from a man claiming to be Windows who said that my computer had automatically informed him of a fault. Sensing this was a scam, I persisted in asking for a name (none was given apart from windows , and an explanation of what the error code was that he was claiming to get from my computer. The last call from this number I told them to take me off the list and they would not give up, even after saying I couldn't take calls at work. in the end I said if you ring back I will take this further and hung up.
