This is the negative balance team from Paypal (See https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Paying-an-outstanding-recurring-payment/td-p/1000315 as an example). This team will call Paypal customers if a payment on their account has been paid by paypal but not by the funding source, creating a negative balance. The account holder has 45 days to deal with the issue, before Paypal go to the funding source to ask for the money on a "Chargeback" basis. Legitimate caller if you have a paypal account

I received a call from this number and they hung up. When I called back promptly it said the number was not recognised.

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.

some one call me from this number yesterday afternoon and today at 9.37 am . I suspect this number.

Advertises for free massage. And it is a premium landline number that looks like a mobile

Selling Stocks & shares. Came up as a private caller. Would not have answered it but expecting a call from GP who always comes up as private caller.

Called and said they were conducting a survey as a part of TfL. Very strange sounding man asked to speak to the youngest in the household and asked when his birthday was. Told to not call again and hung up. Bizarre and creepy, especially close to the holidays when they know children will be home from school.
