I received a random text asking me to call this number concerning an AirBNB booking payment.
Telephone call claiming to be form the Visa Mastercard security line allowing me to select option 1 to cancel 2 attempted transactions this morning. One for £600 and the other for £900. Scam.

I called the number back and knew I was connected as the clock on my phone was showing how long my connection was. As no human or recorded voice answered I hung up. This was at 9:54 pm.

SPAM. I have been getting 2 calls a day on my mobile for several months. every call uses a different number. Until recently these numbers were from a lady speaking Chinese, who then switched to English prompting a message that indicted. SCAM This number came up as 00 44 1461 280025 which is Gretna in Scotland. I live in the UK so should have come up as 01461 280025. Answered called to an Asian man telling me that he hadn't called me as he was busy with his sister's wedding [apt Gretna Green] Rang the number myself and it was for Housing Disrepair Team. May be legitimate but with what I heard on the phone and the number showing as 00 44 I hung up and blocked the number. Be careful.

SCAM Indian caller with poor English said they were from a company called Reclaim and a claim that I had made had been successful and they had £300 and something money ready to pay me. I told them I had no such claim and they had the wrong number and I hung up.

SCAM, tells you that Amazon and another company are trying to take money from your Bank Account (doesn't tell you which bank). It instructs you to press a number to 'allow' and a number to 'stop the transactions' and speak to amember of the banking team. My elderly mother had it on loud speaker and I was able to interject and get her to delete the call.

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
An automated female voice, purporting to be from Amazon, said I had ordered an iPhone and should press 2 if I wanted to talk to someone.
