Claimed to be from RBS credit card fraud in relation to an SMS NHS Covid phishing attempt on my phone. Appeared plausible and had some detailed info on my account transactions, however, when calling the number on back of my card, they said they had no record of a call from RBS. Suspect they were trying to obtain additional information to also obtain on line banking log in.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

They do announce themselves to contact customers on behalf of EON and are not actually EON.I am sure eon knows about it despite they deny they use such call centres. Same as below received emailed ebay order confirmation which states 'call us on + 20 7665 0123 to report this to our fraud protection team'. Just recently used ebay for first time in years so very suspect and definately not a genuine order. Report direct to ebay direct, not on number provided in invoice, from the online site and Actionfraud website.
