Said his name was James Walker. telling me I have unsecured debt. buckled when I started asking him questions and hung up. asking about my finances and from his accent clearly gave a false name, when I asked what company he was calling from he said it isn t a company it the consumer awareness line, but this does not exist. This no. originates from a company called Vintels (http://www.vintels.com/). They already has a complaint upheld by the ASA against them (Google Vintels and ASA) for sending out SMSs saying "Free Msg: Our records indicate you may be entitled to ?3750 for the accident you had. To apply free reply CLAIM to this message. To opt out text STOP". Vintels however keep changing the wording slightly to get round this.

I received a call from this number this afternoon but no voicemail was left so I didn t know who called. I later received a call from 01702454081, which seemed a coincidence. This was from Insure and Go. They were following up an online quote for travel insurance so it was really not entirely a cold call .
