Called today and ulikely to originate from the UK based on the poor line. The person kept using my first name (i.e., Mr A***). She told me she was calling about an accident I d had for which I wasn t at fault. I asked her if that was in the BMW and she said "Yes I think so"...I don t drive a BMW and have never owned one! This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.
