Fraud - Claimed to be call from Amazon about suspicious charge
Rehan Ali was recommended and everything went through smoothly. I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. SCAM: Persistently calling an elderly woman insisting that her drains need to be inspected and she was legally required to allow the inspection. caller also gave a mobile number 07511485590. Victim refused to comply suspecting a SCAM.
Warned of unusual transactions on my card including Amazon and international transfers. Unsubtle scam but using local number identity meant I at least answered the call.

This is a cold calling number being rerouted from India. They claim to offer a brand new mobile phone contract to iPhone users for £35/month, and they asked me how long I had my iPhone for (I don't have one). So I asked them where they got my number from. They claim to have my number on a database because I am a loyal customer. I asked them a loyal customer of what? My mobile service provider, they replied. Who is my mobile service provider, I asked. At which point they hung up. Block this number.

This phone number is from a fraud caller claiming to be FRANK GALLO SOLICITORS. They continued to explain how I have debt that is from companies who miss-sold credit. It was very convincing, and I didn't have any immediate concerns. They had details of a previous debt I owed and then reeled off some "bogus" loads I have never had. This was one of a series of 6 calls starting on Friday 5th that stated they were (or were probably connected )from microsoft ! Different numbers used for each call; no messages left on answerphone. Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.
