Caller claimed they were calling because my Beko washing machine warranty had expired. I don t have a Beko washing machine. I gave this incorrect information to a unwanted cold call last week (Indian caller, UK Preference, claiming they were doing a survey). They have obviously passed my details to this company.

TAXES / HMRC Asked for me by name, introduced as Refund my taxes or something like that, then said it was in relation to my marriage allowance refund. I replied I am not married to which the response was "oh, you are no longer married?". Odd as I have never been married, however I had googled marriage allowance recently but at no point entered any of my own details...coincidence or pairing of my cookies to my name and number??

Its about time the TPS in this country gained real power like the US, over there if a company calls after being told not, they have to pay a fixed penalty to the homeowner. These people have called my home several times a day while I have been out at work and keep on calling through the evening. The one time I was home and answered they hung up.
I had a missed call from this number and I'm from the Netherlands, thought it was strange so I googled the number first and ended here. I don't have a cat and haven't been in Engeland for years so no clue why I'm called from there. So i decided to call back (within 30 minutes) and it said the phone number didn't exist. Claimed to be from carphone warehouse, as soon as I went to speak they hung up. A quick google shows the number is linked to an unrelated government contract which is concerning. I suspect they were phoning only to see if I would answer.

Lady with a very heavy Indian accent, didn't say if she was calling from Amazon or the Bank, but she could help stop the delivery and get my money back if I followed these steps. Call terminated.
