They informed me that they now offer a free service to Unite members like myself where they will compare all of the different life insurance quotes that are available to me. I think they last called me around 2 years ago and are always very respectful. In a roundabout way, they are trying to sell a service, but at no point pressured me into buying anything. Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.

Gave all the pitch of being Department of work and pensions. Then asked to confirm my address which was 10 years out of date. I told them its wrong and DWP do not show this phone number. Phone went dead?. I just can t think what may have happened with their connection LOL

Silent call

Saying there has been £600- taken from my bank account saying my card was used in a foreign country . I contacted my bank SCAM

Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.
