Didnt introduce himself, asked for me by name, said he was calling about my debts ( I dont have any so knew he was lying) I asked him to tell me about my debts, he said I was to tell him. I asked if he was a moron and he said " you are a moron debter" . Told him I would report him to the police and have blocked his number... this is most certainly a scammer. Elderly folk beware!!!

My second call this morning from an 01257 number - different ones - both claiming to be a banking service who have detected suspicious activity on my account. They are both automated messages with the same female voice and both claim withdrawals from my (unspecified) account from the same places (Amazon and overseas) but quote different amounts. 01257 is my local dial code, which I suspect is meant to lend credibility to the call. Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.
