I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. I explain that I am neither of those names and they respond with "you re there, you ll do" and they are a nuisan

Once they get the 9 digit ID they can then see your screen They ask you to log into websites, copy the url to 'test' the connection. Luckily my pw auto logs in, so I didn't type it. Be wary as on the BT website it does say they wouldn't ask you to screen share

I was called by number 090432929, not 09043967, and this number is from Great Britain? I don't know anybody from Great Britain! We keep getting calls from strangers who most likely just want to sell us something, but I don't even pick up the phone anymore when we receive such calls and the number is not from my hometown. Automated message saying there is a Tax Fraud Case against me, I didn't answer the call but they left a voicemail and this is how I know what they were after. Checked with HMRC and guess what, Another SCAM.
