I got a call this morning from this same and it sounded like an Indian person on the other line asking for my name and then it immediately dropped. I call back the number and the voice note confirmed that the number has been theft from another user and is now been used for SCAM and that none shouldn’t entertained it. I’ve now blocked this number on my phone. SCAM

This person claimed to be my child who had smashed their phone and wanted me to WhatsApp this number, which I didn’t do. They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. I received a text from this number saying my apple pay was temporarily deactivated, and a link to reactivate it. Upon clicking the link I was then asked for my name, address and date of birth, and then got suspicious when asked for my full card details. Quick look on google found it is a know scam. Beware.
