Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.

Caller identified himself as energy savings company in Great Yarmouth, and asked if I was home owner. I told him I d had a call from them a week ago and had said I wasn t interested in solar panels. He then tried to interest me in energy savings from govt scheme for new efficient boilers. Repeatedly offered me a free evaluation which I declined, then he hung up (politely) when he saw he wasn t persuading me.

Called my 13 year olds mobile while he was in school and claimed to be contacting him about a car accident he was involved in. Now I m sure that a 13 year old doesn t have a car or a license and they definitely shouldn t be calling a 13 year old.ive showed him how to block numbers and blocked the number who called him. Beware as these people don t have any scruples about who they call.

Called about loft insulation. Said if was not a “selling” call it was a survey carried out to see if insulation was to standard. Then went on to say she Kew it was not to current standards but still denied it was a sales call. When I asked her to cut to the chase and not blindly following a script. Have moved into faxing. They use an anonymous number to fax you, then ask you to send response via their reply form to 02080683154. We are registered with TPS/FPS. They are not complying with screening regs.
