Fraud The usual "Your BT internet and phone has been compromised and will be cut off in 24 hours" even though I'm not with BT. Followed up by wanting to download remote control access programmes on my laptop. I just feigned interest to leave them hanging on as long as possible; whilst they are hanging on waiting for me they aren't scamming somebody else.

Just received this call which said that I had installed something on my home phone number which was sounds or something. I put the phone down and did no more but this is not something I have requested and I think could be dangerous. Test message - Supposedly from Vodafone saying payment for bill could not be taken and 'click' a link to update payment info. - 'A Lie' it has. Obviously a scam.
Following up a comment that this number might be Friends of the Earth, I emailed FoE and was told the number is a fund-raising agency called Listen, used by FoE. At my request FoE has deleted my number. I suggest that anyone who keeps getting calls from this number also contacts FoE via the Contact Us form on the website, to ask for their phone details to be removed so no more calls are received.

silent caller, scammer?
Automated call Phoned today on my mobile, I let it go to voicemail as I didn't recognise the number. Voicemail was left but only partly. Automated voice claiming to be from HMRC saying "if you did not press 1, a warrant will be issued and you will be arrested!"
Also received a text form this number - claiming I have joined Gamers Ville for £3.00 per week - SCAM -
