Fraud, Scam, pretending to be O2
SCAM 01782259871 rang 29/07/23 09:22. Call centre from Microsoft. Told me I had a problem on my computer. This is an old scam! Told her I didn’t have a computer. Hung up and blocked number.
This is a scam. Claiming to be from my phone provider.
Called and said they from 3 mobile, promo dep. Offered two new phones with cheaper contracts, everything unlimited. (I got 8 months left tho). Then asked for name. He said he was passing me to his manager (diff man) he asked spelling of name, asked for postcode and house number. When I questioned needing house number he said checking because of scams. Also said different dep and just verifying. He asked for sort code & account number, when I questioned this HE HUNG UP! I called 3 not them. SCAMMERS!!

Guy with a foreign accent asking about diesel vehicles. Wanted my vehicle details even though we have no diesel vehicles. Very fishy.

Caller hung up as soon as I answered, which in itself is fine, but I received three local calls over 5 days that did the same and it feels strange.
Fraud
A call from this number, did not answer then received a text saying that I called about generator and asked me if I will collect today which I had not called. Could be a scam
Received a call from +44 20 7008 2070 answered and said hello multiple times with no response from the cold caller
Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.
Cuts off when answered Blocked this number after reading reviews.
