The person he asked to speak to, Ben , does not exist on my number or at my address and I have been plagued with calls lately from some company claiming to be something to do with the Office of Fair Trading, who also always asks for Ben , but they have the sense to block their number. Text message received 18 Aug purporting to be from HSBC regarding a new payee (Mrs R Rasif) - if the name was unknown to me, I was to visit a website called ‘hsbc-unknown-activity’. HSBC confirmed all was bogus.
Lorraine called said she was from the Police & Crime Awareness Scheme and had I head of it. I said yes it is a scam and hung up. Strange that earlier today the same number called from the Safety Awareness Scheme. What a bunch of time wasters.
