SCAM: Phone rang and then caller, a computer, hung up when I didn't speak! Suspected computer call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will usually be logged or routed through to a sales person. You'll be called back later by some sales dude. They're usually trying to flog or get you to sign up for house insulation or some scam survey based on a government scheme. They're usually quick to say they're not selling, simply enquiring; surveying; etc.

Call just received from 07418358264. Claimed to be from "debt recovery services". Ended the call when I said I do not require their "services".
Quickly say Biwater but push Business Stream. Want to apply discounts. Go ahead why do you need to call? Who refuses discounts? Looked up Biwater website as I have worked for Water Projects and knew the name to confirm my thoughts. Personally wouldn t trust them. Our business water provider already give discounts. Most likely Spam. They called, I answered, I said hello, no response, I said hello again, no response, I waited, nothing from the other end, I hung up.

Fraud The usual "Your BT internet and phone has been compromised and will be cut off in 24 hours" even though I'm not with BT. Followed up by wanting to download remote control access programmes on my laptop. I just feigned interest to leave them hanging on as long as possible; whilst they are hanging on waiting for me they aren't scamming somebody else.

When called there is an American voice recorded message "Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line & you will be transferred to next available agent..." It then plays music while caller holds. Long wait times, if you get connected to the agent. This seems to be a growing trend with different numbers continually changing. Potential fraud or scam.
