Keeps calling Bristish Gas, not even a customer, have asked to remove my number with no joy

silent call then rang off

said they from amazon sombody trying to spend 1500 on my credit card press 1 to ok it or 2 to block must be a scam because dont have that much on credit card limit.

This company are using many numbers from all over the British Isles... All seem to end in 006. Scammers trying to dupe you into changing energy suppliers without even realising you re doing so. Block them

caller identified herself as Jennifer (Asian sounding voice) & said she was calling from BT & there was a problem with my computer & my service was about to be cut off. I was slightly concerned since I have a BT broadband account & was using my laptop at the time, but the tone of the call felt bogus so I hung up & checked number via Google.

Scam.....Amazon, recorded message saying your account will be debited 300 pounds, contact number to verify withdrawal. Reported to Fraud uk website. Do NOT ring number given.......

They should not be doing this! There are a few things that you can do to stop them making calls to you in the future, and help to stop them making calls to others. You can register your landline or mobile number for free with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) - an industry body that gives customers the option to outline what kind of calls they are willing to take (opt in) and those they are not willing to accept (opt out).
