Just had one of the calls mentioned above. I hung up but curiosity got the better of me so I called the number which went straight into a recorded message so obviously not a government office. I agree it's a scam and could be very worrying for elderly or vulnerable people.
I had a phonecall from this company about 3 months back, I was told I'm entitled to claim for reasons i won't get into but i have recently recieved my payout just shy of £9000. Plus the debt that was on my credit card was completely written off. NOT A SCAM CALL. My christmas is sorted

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8435697xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
