Interestingly, a new mobile number that has only been shared with family and the NHS. Then marketing calls start arriving. I guess that my family has sold my phone number on then. Have asked them to advise where they acquired my information from so that I can take action under the Data Protection Act. Am still waiting.

Irish lad said he was calling about my frozen pension. i played along and made up stuff about a fictitious pension which he VERIFIED. When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.

Continued recorded calls late one night requesting pin for account I don't hold. Had to unplug the phone as was waking my children. Called Halifax complaint number 0800 072 9779. They advised somebody must have given my number by mistake. Asked them to remove it from their records but the impression they gave was this couldn't be done. Great....
When I answered a recorded message said HMRC was filing a case against whoever answered the phone - presumably.I think it is dangerous as some folk will believe it.

had a missed call from this number on Tuesday, no message left for me. looked online to see who they are but no joy so decided to try to call them to take away the mystery only to get an automated service to say this number is not longer in service. guess we will never know then.

Rang my mobile and asked if it was true that I had, had a car accident in the last 3 months. I said it was not. Then she insisted that it was on their records that I had. I told her to get a life then hung up.

Claiming to be from PayPal needing to update business details, clearly knew nothing about us other than the name of the business and a contact number, both of which readily available on our website. Reported the number to PayPal under report fraud/phishing
