This number tried to call me today but didn’t answer. I don’t recognise the number. Possibly a scam. I had 4 numbers starting with 020 try and call me on Friday.
Received call from this number, call was disengaged when the answering clicked. Returning call does not connect.
Normally don't answer the phone for numbers not recognised, but was expecting a call from a Leeds no. so took the plunge. Anyway, the person at the other end of the line explained that they worked for an 'Energy Hub'(*) and that I would be entitled to a free energy survey - which included an internal/external assessment of my property to see if any energy savings could be made ... all on the back of the cost of living/energy price rises 'fear' ... Fraud This is a criminal fraudulent recorded voice telling me it is from 'Your Bank' and telling me of recent changes to my account that didn't happen including money transferred to 'An International Money Transfer Service' Illegal scam.
