A very non-English sounding person called “Jake” called claiming to be from EE asked me what type of mobile I had - if he were truly from EE he would have had that information already. Hung up!

SCAM
Very dodgy. Received a number of suspicious calls through the day. At first it was a gentleman with an accent who claimed to be from Virgin. I told him i didn't believe him and was not going to disclose any information about myself as I believed the call was a scam. I wasn't very complimentary and I cut off the call when he started with , F*** you, F*** you, Less than an hour later a woman called with said internet had a fault. Then several silent calls from same number today.

I answered and they hung up. I ve seen on the net, on another site, that this has happened to others too and at all times day and night. One comment or claimed that he had answered the phone to be told to f off before the caller hung up. Sounds like a lonely, nutcase to me.
SCAM - This number called me today 13-1-21. It was an automated message to say my credit card recently used on my Amazon account had been used to place an order for £1000 + (I couldn't make out the exact amount they said). It said prees one if I had placed the order or 2 to speak to an advisor but when I pressed 2 the call cut off. I tried calling the number back but got message saying the number was not available.
