This is a high pressure sales caller purporting to be from a company called ESI, although I could find no details of them online. Their aim is to get people on good defined benefits pension schemes to sell out. They talk a good game, but this smells awfully like a scam outfit which is attempting to get people to transfer monies from safe defined benefits schemes to them, which is incredibly worrying. Your best bet if you receive a call from this number is to block it.
Purporting to be Amazon Security calling about an order for an iPhone 13. I hung up. Subsequently spoken to Amazon Customer Services and its a known scam, avoid and/or block.

Getting calls 3 times a day from this number for the last week and sick of it...shall block it! I answered once and no one at the other end, they just put the phone down.

I receive a text to say I ve missed their call, (i.e. every time they call!). Thing is, there was no call only the text message. I can confidently say that because my mobile had been in my pocket for 2hrs they hadn t called. Neither had they called on my landline, I ve been in all day.

SCAM The lady identified herself as Linda and spoke with an Indian accent, knew my postcode and said she was calling about my boiler cover, which is on a high tariff that can be lowered. I pointed out we have no cover, she tried the spiel asking how old it was. I told her it is only a few years old, paid for outright and under warranty.
