It was a woman on behalf of AO.com trying to sell me a warranty on my washing machine i bought last year. Gave it the hard sell asking me about my day and all about my purchase, then after 3rd time of me telling her i wasn't interested she said "oh ok bye" and hung up.

Clearly an illegal marketing scam. They think of anybody s name when they call and then, when you say you aren t them, they just carry on, saying that what they are selling will probably interest you anyway. Con merchants.
