If you speak then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and logged, a scammer will then call you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! Pretending to be my son.
Claiming to be from three asking me to upgrade my phone. Didn’t know what time of the day he was calling me on as he was calling from an Indian Call centre. When I questioned him and said I didn’t believe he was calling me from three he hung up

The caller who had a Chinese accent said they were calling from 3 Mobile to sell me a new i phone or Samsung mobile, or alternatively all inclusive minutes for £6.00 for a SIM only deal and asked me what I was spending each month now. I am with 3 Mobile so I didn't feel inclined to give them that information and hung up.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2 offering a 50% discount. Wanted me to read a one time code. I checked and I did have a text from O2 but the code said it was to retrieve my account and that O2 would not ask for the number. I told the guy this and he insisted that it was a promotional code and the warning meant I shouldn't tell anyone else about the number. Looked up the number and it wasn't connecte with O2. I demanded proof from the guy that he was from O2 and he got upset at me. SCAM!

Claims to be in reference to an accident that I had within the last three years. I told him that I hadn't had one and he asked if perhaps I'd had one as a passenger. When I told him again that I hadn't had any accidents and that I thought it was a scam call, he hung up.

This company is suposed to be a Management Property Company.(alas I didn't catch the name) They phoned today theBank Holiday for our Queens Funeral which I was watching. When I rang it back (02045 385857) it rang & rang. but no reply. It was not a normal ring for the UK but a ring for abroad. This made me think it was the middle of the night somewhere. SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.

Received an email from PayPal this morning saying that a money request from someone called Johna Radcliffe for 899.99 GBP, with the message "suspicious activity found in your account 899.99 gbp has been debited called us immediately to report @ +44-800-368-9757.
