As soon as I answered it hung up, I didn’t even speak. I tried to call back but call wouldn’t connect. I blocked the number because it is probably telemarketing or spam.
Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.

SCAM It says it’s from Royal Mail, and that you need to pay for a delivery. There is a link to pay to but don’t . Definitely a scam and are probably after your credit card details. The Link is. HTTPS://safe-help-hub.com It came as a text and I have reported it to 7726 which is the UK reporting of unwanted texts number.

They will take your details and sell you Eastern Europeans who then in turn sell you to Albanians who then in turn will sell you to an IVA introducer who will then it turn sell you to an Insolvency Practitioner as a packaged case. I had a call from this number yesterday the caller said he was from British Gas to arrange a service I wasnt convinced that he was genuine and I asked him how I could be sure that he was from British Gas he immediately hung up Although this is a genuine BG number scammers can mimic numbers to make it look like the call is legitimate I will log into my British Gas account when I want to book my HomeCare service

The number was in an email which said it was from a friend (who I've not been in contact with for years) , asking for "help", but it was very much like another email I had just received from someone else saying he was a friend but that was spam. The number above was not one I recognised and when called simply asked callers to leave a message.
