Creepy messages on WhatsApp from a ‘Danny’

This number called me and knew my name, despite pronouncing it incorrectly. They asked me if i d ever had a loan in the last 5 years blah blah blah. Asked me to prove who I was. I was very taken and thought, why should I prove who I am . I hung up after this. Although I hate to appear rude. I felt it was very untrustworthy and a telemarketer.

It's a scam - someone claimed they are calling from O2 Chinese Customer Service center - they even know my personal details (e.g. name, number, email) and say I am involved with sending spamming text so need to file a record with chinese police. They gave me lots of details to verify their identity that makes them trustworthy. However, I reconfirmed with O2 that this is not their CS number - so it's only a spam call. Beware!

Missed call
Was phoned on my landline from this number while I was on mobile phone so missed the call. Phoned the number back (this one) and operator said the number has not been recognised. Tried a couple of times from both landline and mobile. same response. I know there are companies that can somehow harness local numbers to phone you so you are more likely to pick up the call. They are usually trying to scam you into something I believe. So if you do pick up the call in time from this number, be careful.
