This was a recorded message saying your credit card had been used, (no name, no card reference) for a payment to Amazon and a large payment to an over sea recipient and to press 1, to allow the transaction or 2 to speak to an advisor to stop the transaction. Using 1471 to check the caller number, the number given was a 16 digit number. 0179582197582587. This was definitely a SCAM call.

Phoned 3 times in one day firstly introducing themselves as EDF Energy and asking about when our electricity contract was due for renewal. Told them that I was not interested. 2nd call they introduced themselves as Npower, who happen to be our suppliers. Said to them that if they were Npower they could tell me what tariff we were on. They got this wrong twice and I hung up. Third time they again introduced themselves as Npower and I told them to go away.
