This number is calling hourly. We answered once. BT scam. On another occasion I did 1471 and was put through to a confused lady. Looks like the scam is managing to use a legitimate number. I just want the calls to stop!

'Dave', aledgedly from BT, rang to say my internet speed was very slow. To fix it, he needed remote access to my computer or smart phone. I told him I was recording the call and he hung up. Clearly a scam call. Working from a script and not able to cope with my many questions!

Someone called me 4 times today starting at 07:00 with this number but with the norwegian countrycode. Just now they called again but from UK. They wanted to know if I was looking for a job and that they had a position in Sweden and in London.
Text from UPS , very plausible, informing me of an additional small charge owed for a parcel delivery - I have two parcels awaiting delivery , both small and of low value, by the post office. No coincidence I assume.

Read out to me my name and address and when I confirmed these was going to pass me to her "supervisor" to complete a form. Asked her to tell me what brand of washing machine I've actually got. I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!

Appears to be operating in the UK, English accent. Claims to be from an energy supplier from 'your area' however they are cold calling and know nothing about you. They will hang up quickly as soon as you query further, they will ask for personal details. Believe they are trying to sell loft insulation / boilers unsolicited however be careful they are also likely putting you out of pocket and potentially a SCAM.
