Brighter Homes called me today on this number offering vouchers for double glazing etc. I told them I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and not to call again. This company uses pressure selling techniques to sell double glazing. The company was featured on the Watchdog rogue traders program. claiming to be from Openreach about my internet, I said I didn t have it and then he started talking about World War III, der!!!

Definitely a scam. They obtained a DHL notification for something ordered overseas then try and make you think you need to pay import duty. Do not ring as number transfers to foreign network.

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry.
