Caller addressed me by a false name which I had given to a previous cold caller. He said he was calling about a government scheme to reduce debt. He said it was an IVA and wouldn t affect my credit rating. I asked who he worked for and he said Money Direct in Manchester. He said they were registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). He said he was calling from SE Asia, He asked me about my debts. I invented a few "outstanding" credit card debts and told him I was struggling to pay off the cards.

a scam caller. silent call from this number which appears to be located in the middle of nowhere in north west england in the same location as 05091250072 and 03028 240441. research indicates its allegedly offering oven cleaning services so block it! my line is ex-directory and TPS registered so have reported it to Ofcom and TPS

THIS IS A VALID NUMBER, I called the Halifax card services number from their web site 08456051150 and they confirmed my application had been made today via telephone and they are based in Cardiff. Phew, this web thread had me worried but if you are then call them and check yourself:o)
Called claiming they had information about outstanding debt. When asked to provide more details became hostile and ended the call. Scam.
Had a call from this number didnt reconise it. Then had another call from another number on here says its from Basinstoke.
