Birkhill underwriters called asking for my dad, asking if he had been in an accident. Wouldn t tell me where he got my details but told me he would remove them from their database. I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.

When I answered by accident on these scammers, a really rude woman started to berate me because she had been calling my number for the third time! today. I was shocked to be greeted like this and I asked where she was from but her South African accent was so thick I couldn t quite make out PPI. Needless to say, she asked me if I was hard of hearing and when I asked who she was looking for, what an unpleasant interruption to my day!
