Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.

A lovely lady rang from this number asking for a person i didn t recognise, when I told her he didn t live here she asked if she could sing a song for me........ after 2 minutes of my heart will go on I asked what i could do for her to which she replied nothing, i would just like to chat , we had a wonderful conversation but I had to cut it short as my eggs were getting cold..... very interesting start to my day indeed!

I left this comment on the Voxbone SA Scam Number function, which is apart of their website. Number seems to possibly be a missed call scam of a 0845 number. The number calls at around exactly the same time everyday, and leaves a voicemail that is completely blank. The idea of the scam is to make the mobile owner not pick up, but cost them on their next bill. Even though the caller did not initiate the call, the phone company will state they did. SCAM The lady identified herself as Linda and spoke with an Indian accent, knew my postcode and said she was calling about my boiler cover, which is on a high tariff that can be lowered. I pointed out we have no cover, she tried the spiel asking how old it was. I told her it is only a few years old, paid for outright and under warranty. I told her I thought she was trying to scam me and we are TPS registered. She said sorry you would receive another call.
Three calls this morning supposedly from Amazon telling me my Prime subscription is due and it will be deducted from my payment source. Not true. Fraud. subscription not due for 6 months. Did not respond. Blocked number.
Are telemarketing but good deals and spoke to a really nice lad called kyle sorted me out with a brilliant deal saving me money!

Think this is a scam. Caller was from London but stating he was the local Safety Officer and we are in the Midlands. Did ask for person by name who was not available. Said he would send an email. Not convinced this is genuine.
