Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17829306xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, RTA, PPI - insurance management. A call from this number to my grandmother offered a security service she said straight away she was not interested and put the phone down. They phoned back straight away and said that was very rude and used her first name. It was suggested that they should use her surname as they did not know her and he said I know you . A further call was left unanswered. This was quite upsetting. Something should be done about such calls.
