"James Anderson from HMRC" (man with a foreign accent, sounded like he was from the Indian subcontinent) called me saying the HMRC were investigating me for tax avoidance; they were going to move to court proceedings unless I phoned them back on a specific number. He repeated his details and the phone number and then hung up.

Young lady called Sophie Taylor asking for the Company MD by name. She said she was calling on behalf of Lloyds Bank. Sophie was a very polite lady with an English accent. I told her that the person in question did not accept unsolicited telephone calls.
