Scam caller from India using VOIP to pretend to be from Aberdeen
Calling about supposed car accident. Claimed to be in London but dialling code is Matlock.

Unknown caller - rang off before I had chance to answer the phone
I received an automated voice call about a potential overseas transaction on my credit card. I is a scam to get card details.
These people have phoned twice in 2 days. Claim THEY are responding to MY call regarding a debt problem – complete lie. They are very chatty and I get a gushing Manc saying: "Hey there, how are you today then?". Then the lies start. They are a damn nuisance and I ve blocked them on my phone. I suspect the call could get quite sinister if you allow them to get into their stride.

Called at 15.45 a number of times ... when answered, just heard beeps at about 1 sec interval ... tried calling the number back, no tones

Asian caller three times today, usual nonsense. Slightly more risky this because the UK landline number makes it look more credible. Shout very loudly down the phone at them and put the phone down!
Automated voice call from this number on Tues 27th June regarding a "transfer from my account in the sum of £1000+ and a transaction to Amazon in the sum of £300+" and I was invited to press button 1 to authorise both transactions which I obviously did not do. There was no description of which "account" involved in either the transfer or the Amazon transaction. Checking all accounts confirms NO cash transfer and NO transaction with Amazon.
