Chap with a heavy Indian accent asked for my son. Gave me an old postcode of mine and asked if I still had a Nationwide mortgage. (He said he was from Nationwide.) No-one in my family has ever had a Nationwide mortgage, and my son has never had a mortgage at all.I played along for a while and then I asked for his name in full - he said it was David Jacobs. I told him I didn t believe that was his name and I didn t believe he was from Nationwide Building Society. He swore and then hung up.
