Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. I answered on one occasion where there was just silence and then they hung up so I blocked the number, they are still trying to ring me constantly with not even 10 minutes apart now, getting very annoyed. 01902 833566 called me this morning at 08.39 said he was from Talk Talk and had an India. Accent. This has happened before and I have been in touch with Talk Talk who informed me this is not them! So I immediately said to the man "this is a scam" and he immediately put the phone down!

Wanted my name, address and DoB. I put the phone down and they have called twice since. As I do not owe HMRC any monies, assume this is a scam. Can they not be stopped?

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8432632xxx range... People did someone answer this number?

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
